What to Know Before Your Initial Consultation

Due to the embarrassment and reluctance that men feel, many of their sexual problems go untreated. In order to get the help you need, you need to be completely honest with us at all times. Without telling us your exact symptoms or everything we need to know, it’s more difficult for us to provide a proper diagnosis and form of treatment.

Before your first visit, please follow these guidelines:
  • Do not take any ED medications (Viagra, Cialis, Levitra, etc.) for at least 48 hours before your appointment. If you are taking 36-hour Levitra, please do not take it for at least 36 hours prior to your visit.
  • Do not take any recreational drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, etc., 36 hours prior to your appointment.
  • Take your regular blood pressure medications and all other medications as you normally would the morning of your appointment.
  • Refrain from drinking coffee before your morning appointment as coffee can elevate your blood pressure.
  • Allow about 90 minutes for the appointment. We perform a complete medical evaluation, diagnostic testing, and a test dose of medication for full effectiveness.

What should I bring?

Please bring the following to your initial appointment:
  • Medical history/list of medications: Your sexual health depends on your body’s systems working together. We tailor any medication regimen and treatments specifically to you based on all aspects of your health.
  • Driver’s License
  • Form of Payment: We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, personal check, and cash. We do not handle insurance processing, but we can give you any receipts needed to file paperwork.
  • Your Partner (not required, though strongly encouraged): Your partner can provide additional helpful information to treat the problem effectively. Your partner does not need to be in your consultation for the duration of your visit if you would prefer to discuss something in private.
Will my privacy be maintained?
Yes. We take every precaution necessary to protect your privacy. We handle the majority of tests and lab work in house and use the very latest in encryption technology. Your privacy is always our first priority. If you would like more information about our privacy practices, call our clinic.
